Look for detours in the attached graphic.
The Illinois Department of Transportation is closing east and west traffic on 143rd Street at Southwest Highway and the Metra Southwest Service line, tentatively until Monday, Aug. 20.
Crews will be working to relocate rail lines now used by the Southwest Service Metra trains for the next four weeks, according to a release from the Village of Orland Park.
Look for detours using West Avenue, 151st Street and LaGrange Road, according to the village.
Businesses and side streets between West Avenue and LaGrange Road will remain open. Southwest Highway still can be accessed when heading east on 143rd Street. Parking at the 143rd Street Metra Station remains available.
