It's Thanksgiving week, and Orland Park Patch wants you prepared for the holiday, as well as the shopping season that follows it (or in some cases, during it).

Here are guides we've posted on the site this week to help people navigate this busy week in Orland Park a little more easily:

Bookmark our Small Business Saturday topic to see further updates throughout the rest of the week.

For today, our loyal Facebook fans think you should know about of Orland Park's small and independently owned businesses—listed in alphabetical order and with links to their Patch directory listings—that do a great job of keeping their customers informed about what's going on at their shops and restaurants with their own Facebook pages.

YOUR TURN: Know a really great Facebook page we missed? Add your favorites in the comments section.

Thanks for posting. I was just going to ask if you could list the small businesses in Orland so we can support Small Business Saturday.

If you register your American Express card, AMEX will give you a $25 statement credit if you shop at a qualifying small business today. Unfortunately AMEX's list of qualifying small budinesses is out of date (Randy's Market?) and many great Orland Park small businesses are not on it. Small businesses that I plan to shop at today are Bloomingfields, Venetia's, Miroballi's Shoes, Cupid Candies and Cottage Creations (in downtown Frankfort).

Ben, thanks for continuing to advocate for the small businesses in Orland Park. Glen and I are very glad that we partnered with the Orland Park Patch to promote our business and have no doubt that the phone has been ringing more often because of that partnership. We also appreciate being informed of all the businesses in our community and make every effort to support our neighbors.
