Arraignment Set for Orland Man on Child Porn Charges

Eric Holt, 28, is set to enter his plea on felony possession of child porn charges in a Bridgeview courtroom on Dec. 4.

The case against a 28-year-old Orland Park man charged with felony possession of child pornography after police said they found the images on his computer is moving forward, with the arraigment set for Dec. 4.

Eric Holt appeared briefly in Judge Peter Felice's Markham courtroom Tuesday. He is out on $100,000 bond on the charges and is also on electronic monitoring.

Dressed casually in a black jacket, black shirt and jeans, Holt didn't speak during the brief hearing. A public defender initially assigned to the case withdrew as Holt stood next to an attorney who filed her appearance on behalf of a colleague at her law firm.

The attorney declined to give Patch her name, saying that she would not be lead counsel on the case.

Holt was arrested in October after child pornography was found a computer belonging to him, according to Orland Park Police Commander John Keating.

The Orland Park Police Department was contacted about Holt by personnel with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Keating said.

First of all we are innocent until proven guilty,is a person guilty that buy's playboy or any other dirty magazine,I do not condone that either, but stop for a minute take a deep breath and realize that not all people are guilty,he has parents, and the terrible things being said should stop out of RESPECT FOR HIS PARENTS,HAVE SOME RESPECT.And no he does not!! that should not stop you from shopping there. My opinion I thought that he was a decent person, non of you knew him personally, did you ever think that this could all be about nothing, there are people that are always wrongly arrested!Never judge a book by it's cover.

I totally agree with you Mr. Marcus...I wouldn't want to shop anywhere where someone was even accused of this crime. No need to put my kids around someone who "May" have even commited this terrible crime. Until this case is over he should not be let out of his home, just in case he is guilty. It has nothing to do with respecting his parents. A person can respect someones parents and still hope their child predator son goes to jail if convicted or is cleared if innocent.

for all you that pointed your finger like you actually know the man and know the facts shame on you. get to know someone before you actually think you have a leg to stand on. he is a good man and he prevailed through the whole thing. so shame on any of you for thinking different.
