Business Comings & Goings: Peppo’s Dili-Deli Coming to Tinley

Peppo’s Dili-Deli, a popular sub shop since 1976 in Palos Hills, is coming to 6905 W. 159th St. in Tinley Park.
“We’re hoping to be open in early October,” said Robert Peplowski, 28, a partner in the business and the son of its founder, Jim Peplowski. Both men live in New Lenox.
“We’ll have the same menu as the Palos Hills location,” said Peplowski, who added that the sub shop might have additional expansion plans in mind.
“If it works out in Tinley, we’ll open more,” he said. “We’ll continue to move south.”
The Tinley location will employ about 10 people, Peplowski said. “We’re now taking applications online.”
Red Mango Eyes October Opening
The Texas-based chain had hoped to be open in Orland by mid-August.
Owners Trisha and Jeff Fendt said they are now taking job applications online. The Orland store will be their fourth in the Chicago area and the chain’s first in the Southland.
Whole Foods To Open Nov. 2
The store is one of eight the company is opening this year. It will be the chain’s 18th store in the Chicago market and the first in the Southland.
The store will open with a week of special events and sales.
Dave & Buster’s Opens on Saturday
Dave & Buster’s adult arcade and sports bar will hold its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at 39 Orland Square Dr., next door to Toys R Us. The company says it is still hiring, and candidates can apply online.
King Wok Open in Tinley
A Chinese restaurant that has closed, opened, then closed again is now open again at 16651 S. 80th Ave., under the new name of King Wok. Its phone number is 708-532-3388.
Citgo Station Closed
A Citgo gas station at 17400 S. Wolf Road in Orland Park closed recently. The station was a longtime Clark station before converting to Citgo.
Tilted Kilt Update
Plans for a Tilted Kilt pub in the former Fat Ricky’s will probably start moving forward now that Orland Park trustees have approved a landscape plan for the building at 16255 S. LaGrange Road. Trustees approved the site plan in April.
Grand Opening for BMW
BMW of Orland Park, which opened in its new 63,000-square-foot location over the summer, will hold its official grand opening at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20.
Tinley to Host Small Business Conference
