Cops: Two Men Caught After Smash and Grab at Salon Store

Two Chicago men were charged with theft after over $9,700 in merchandise was found taken from the store.

Two men were accused of breaking through the front glass door of an Orland Park salon store, and stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise, according to authorities.

On Jan. 30, the Orland Park Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at Ulta Beauty, 15754 LaGrange Rd, around 2:25 a.m. Officers saw a light-colored SUV parked in front of the store, and the front glass door had been smashed, according to a release from the police department.

The SUV started driving away, while three men ran towards it, carrying large white Ulta bags full of merchandise, according to the release. Two men got into the vehicle, as it drove away north on LaGrange Road while in a southbound lane, police said. Bags of merchandise were thrown out of the SUV’s windows as they drove, according to the release.
