D135 Open Houses and Other Important Dates

It’s time again to get the young ones acquainted with their surroundings until next summer. Here are the times for Orland School District 135’s open houses.

 

Parents, it is time for you to return your children to the schools during the day.

Don’t act too sad now.

Leading up to day one and after, Orland School District 135 schools will be holding open houses, orientations and other gatherings to better acquaint students and parents with new, or familiar, surroundings. Summer break makes parents forget a bit too.

School starts for most grades on Monday, Aug. 27 and for Kindergarten on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Here are other important dates to know:

Centennial School, 14101 Creek Crossing Dr.

OPEN HOUSE

  • Kindergarten: 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23
  • 1st and 2nd Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30
  • 3rd Grade: 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29

Center School, 9407 W. 151st St.

OPEN HOUSE

  • Kindergarten: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23
  • 1st and 2nd Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30

Park School, 9960 W. 143rd St.

OPEN HOUSE

  • Kindergarten: 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23
  • 1st and 2nd Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30

Prairie School, 14200 S. 82nd Ave.

ORIENTATION

  • Kindergarten: 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22

OPEN HOUSE

  • 1st Grade: 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28
  • 2nd and 3rd Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades: 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades: 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Liberty School, 8801 W. 151st St.

OPEN HOUSE

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6

Jerling Junior High, 8851 W. 151st St.

OPEN HOUSE

  • 6th, 7th and 8th Grades: 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29

OPEN HOUSE

  • 6th, 7th and 8th Grades: 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30
