Frankfort Doc Facing Sex Charges & Sex Lawsuits Sued Yet Again
This time, a woman is accusing Dr. Kishor Jain of molesting her underage daughter.
The Frankfort pediatrician facing a felony sex case for allegedly groping five women in his office and already targeted in no less than three civil suits filed by women claiming he molested them was sued again Thursday.
This time, one of Dr. Kishor Jain's patients from the Hedges Clinic has accused the pediatrician of sexually assaulting her underage daughter.
The woman, identified only as "Mother Doe" in the suit, said she took her daughter to Jain's office on June 19, 2012, for an examination and to get a prescription refilled.
After the visit, the child followed her mother out, the lawsuit said, "when all of a sudden (Jain) unbuttoned and unzipped the minor plaintiff's pants while she was standing and put his hand inside her underwear."
Jain then "put his fingers on the vagina of the minor plaintiff and pinched or squeezed several times before removing his hand," the suit said.
The child is identified only as "Jane Doe." Her age is not provided in the lawsuit but she is described as a minor.
The other people suing Jain are all adults, as are the alleged victims named in the criminal complaint.
The avalanche of civil and criminal allegations burying Jain was set off by a lawsuit filed by a 29-year-old Manteno woman in January. The woman, Jessica Schubbe, had told the Frankfort police Jain had groped her in 2011. The police reportedly forwarded the results of their investigation to a special prosecutor assigned to the case, but the matter languished until after Schubbe pursued her civil action.
The criminal and civil allegations are nothing new to Jain. He weathered a criminal case in 2002 after he was arrested on misdemeanor battery charges for allegedly groping a Joliet woman in his office. The case was handed off to the Illinois Attorney General's Office after it was determined a staffer in the Will County State's Attorney's office had a relative who had been treated by a physician at the Hedges Clinic.
Jain was found not guilty. The case was later expunged.
Two other women also sued Jain in 2002. Records show the case was settled out of court in May 2007.
The Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation indefinitely suspended Jain's medical license earlier this month. The suspension resulted from Jain's refusal to testify at a hearing on his alleged sexual misconduct.

Oh my goodness, this supposedly happened 9 months ago, that is bazaar..Where have you been "Mother Doe". This i believe never happened...first of all the nurse comes into the room after the Dr. where were you? Dr Jain is only in the room for a very short time, and durning this time he is very through...Please people don't believe everything you read on here, There is no way Dr. Jain would have risked his career , let alone brought all this embarassement to his children.

How many people will it take Maureen? How many lawsuits will have to be filed? At what point will you and others defending this man at least acknowledge the possibility that all these people may not be lying.

I dont usually zero in on one person making a comment, but you referred to me. I dont know if you are a parent or not, but would you have waited 9 months before reporting this to the police?...I dont think so,

I would have made a scene at hedges clinic if I saw him do that to my daughter. I would not wait 9 months.

"After the visit, the child followed her mother out, the lawsuit said, 'when all of a sudden (Jain) unbuttoned and unzipped the minor plaintiff's pants while she was standing and put his hand inside her underwear'."
Followed the mother out where? Into the hallway, where there surely would have been other witnesses? He suddenly undid her pants.... all the while the mother is going along with this? Listen, I am not defending him. All I am saying is that if anyone came after my child like that, you better believe that I wouldn’t just stand there and allow it to happen. Furthermore, I’m calling the police ASAP to file a report. Something doesn’t seem right. I hope this didn’t really happen to a child, in her mother’s presence. IF it did, then by all means, he should be held accountable.

Please don't forget that the articles on here are sometimes not very clear or do not explain things exactly as it happened. Sorry Patch but its true. I'm guessing there is more to this story. I have been following this story for quite awhile and I just want to say to all the women responding on here. Shame on you. We need to be looking out for each other and not picking them apart. we all know that they are one by one going to rip each woman's story apart on the stand. Its humiliating but they came forward. You should be standing beside them with support. This is why most rape cases are not even reported. what kind of message does this leave.

I will be looking out for Dr. Jain who has taken care of my daughter since birth with respect and dignity. I will not support the other women just because they are women. Some women will do anything to get some money, even if it's humiliating. They don't care who's reputation and life they are ruining.

Have you ever been to Hedges or do you personally know Dr Jain? Probably not or you may or may not think differently. I just don't believe these accusations at all. I'd like to know more about what kind of people these women are.

The Patch quoted exactly what supposedly happened with this child. I don't buy it either. My childrens pediatrician is also at Hedges and the whole story doesn't make sense. Why would he wait until she was following her mom out to do what she claims he did. The hallways are super narrow and crowded and there is a nurses station righ there. It just doesn't make any sense. As a mom, I don't care how meek you are, your first reaction should be to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Not wait almost a year later before deciding to jump on the lawsuit bandwagon. Dr Jain actually saw my daughter when her regular pediatrician was not available for a urinary tract issue. He actually didn't even bother examining her after we explained her symptoms and instead referred us to a urologist. As much as it makes my skin crawl, this would have been the perfect opportunity for him to abuse a child and nothing happened. I just don't buy it.

I don't believe this at all. The hallways are very small, the nurses station is literally right there. My son was a patient of Dr. Jain's and I have more respect for him as a pediatrician than anyone I will have to try and find to treat him now. First of all, after Dr Jain comes into the room for a short time and completes his visit, he leaves. He doesn't return. A nurse will come back in to give any paperwork and you are free to go. Dr Jain doesn't follow you out into the small, crowded hallway. Does this mother really think people would believe that she was standing right there and witnessed this and was silent for months. Your own child and you said nothing??? Nope, never will believe this. I honestly think people are trying to jump on a bandwagon to get something. What kind of people are these? Karma...

First of all with all these claims against this Dr., Some of it has be true. BUT........This particular story doesn't add up. I belive that some people jump on a bandwagon looking for sympathy or a payout. As a parent, if this was my daughter you better believe I would have called the police. Also, if the mother walked out of the room and the daughter followed, you would think a nurse, receptionist, other patients/parents would have witnessed this. Furthermore, if this is true (which I don't believe it is) WHY would the mother not call the police and file charges? Children we're seeing this Dr. for 9 months until she came out with this claim. Doesn't she think he could molest someone elses child? I"m calling her bluff. NO one in their right mind would allow this to happen to their child and just let it go. Sorry, She's looking for a payout.

Don't believe every thing you read and just wait for everything to come out in court. Then throw your stones. There are victims here remember, please have some respect. Further more, for all of you who say you would have called the police or done this or that, did it ever occur to you that maybe he picked a type of person that wouldn't maybe tell or just maybe who would really believe them??? He is a doctor that has a lot of fans that think he is a gentlemen. Also, these poor victims have to think what they are going to put themselves through and their family. People sometimes don't tell for lots of different reasons. Have respect and be glad this didn't happen in your family.

@Justice just because people throw out accusations does not automatically make them victims. Like most of us are saying, this particular story does not add up. Perhaps he picked some fragile women to allegedly abuse, but no mom in their right mind is going to allow a doctor to go through that many steps to abuse her own child in front of her own eyes and not do a single damn thing about it. Even if he somehow has psychic powers and can pick the people who won't immediately defend themselves, you don't wait until after everyone has come crawling out of the woodworks to decide that oh yes, my minor daughter was sexually assaulted too! And what about the daughter? I am hoping like hell she received some sort of help these last nine months for this horrible thing that allegedly happened to her and that this isn't all being re-hashed now, if indeed it did happen, which I highly doubt. Hedges is a rather busy clinic. If you have never been then you don't really understand why this story doesn't add up.

If it is shown that some of these allegations are lies, it would be nice to know the prosecutor will file criminal charges accordingly. Something tells me this prosecutor will not do that.

Why isn't there a story here on the former Pastor of St. Mary's Church, Fr. James Burnette. He was on the front page of the Tribune yesterday. The Joliet Diocese covered up the fact that he molested young boys through the years and then transfered him to another parish, out of the blue, no explanation. I was a member of the parish at that time. The young man that won his lawsuit, wanted the records unsealed as a condition of him taking any monetary funds. God Bless this young man & may he find peace after all these years. I hope they rename Burnette Hall and also the street named from him. What a sick, pathetic example of a leader. He is not even in jail.

If it were my daughter & I waited 9 months to report this, and only AFTER playing "Monkey See - Monkey Do", as a parent, I should expect for myself to be prosecuted as well. What kind of parent would just wait?

Maybe some are telling the truth. He could of done it why examining them without the nurse in there. It only takes a minute to be violated. And if that was my daughter I wouldn't wait 9 months.

Haven't any of you figured out that a HUGE part of this story is not only missing but also incorrectly stated? Wait until the trial and all the facts are out. I am sorry to say by most of you will be appalled, This is a tragedy for everyone, the victims, their families, and Dr. Jain and his family as well.

Agreed! I'm not sure anyone realizes, that this a criminal case. This is not for money at this point its about Dr. Jain going to jail for awhile, and these news stories on the Patch are quite frequently not correctly reported.

Just have to say this. People are molested by people they know and trust. Uncles, friends of the family, etc. Why is everyone being so naive here. And, by the way I know the doctor in question, my daughter went to him. He saved my sister's life many years ago. I understand he appears to be a very gentle and caring doctor, but you cannot know what a person is capable of....just saying never judge a book by its cover.

No one knows the facts. He has no trial date set, only pretrial. As we all know, and if you don't, this could end at the pretrial and never go to trial. People stop acting like you know it all, unless you can state the facts and share with the rest of us who are expressing our concerns!!
