What a shame and a scam at the same time!! Metra at one time was the pre-eminent local provider of commuter services. Unfortunately, as a daily Metra rider I can attest that it has steadily gone downhill - especially in the last 3-5 years. Service is worse than ever, maintenance of equipment is no longer addressed, and its employees have become more surly reflecting the lack of leadership at this agency.

Now the ultimate insult - Metra's management wants us to do their work for them!! Sheesh! Hey Metra - if YOU don't have a clue about your mission (your purpose or reason for existing), your vision (your picture of where you see yourselves in 5- 10 years) - or can't figure out where to focus your resources and energies, then you have no reason being in business and will continue to die the slow, painful death which most of us can see has already started! (Here’s a clue – you exist to provide commuter services to the public to get from one place to another.) Is it that hard to figure out?

Another bureaucracy just like state, county, and local government - filled with incompetent political cronies and hacks who couldn’t lead a one-car funeral! So sad.

I filled it out, but not sure why. The Board didn't seem to care about any of our input regarding the unfair rate increase on the suburban riders. So not really expecting them to make any changes to really benefit the regular commuters, unless its a way to put more money in the Board Members pockets.
