Holes at Prestwick Country Club Voted Southland's Most Unique

Patch asked readers which local golf course offers the most unique holes around, and after two weeks of voting, a winner has emerged!

To the untrained eye, some golf courses can look an awful lot alike. But for the golfers who hit the links on a regular basis, the good ones stand out.

Some designers clearly took more time to craft their course—a challenging dogleg, a par 4 you can reach from the tee. Or the first shot off the tee, that leads you to the next shot over a gorgeous lake into a narrow green with bunkers behind it. The unique holes take your breath away.

We recently asked our readers which holes impress them most.

Our readers voted the holes at Frankfort's Prestwick Country Club the most unique holes around.

Did our Patch readers get it right?

Prestwick is a private course, they will always beat out a public course in any pole. Most people cant afford to belong to a private course so I think its kind of a meaningless survey. You should probably be asking for opinions on the best public access course that give the best value for the money.
