Orland Cops Looking For Carjacker Who Kicked 88-Year-Old Woman
Man steals purse, keys and car at Walgreens parking lot.
Police officers are looking for a suspect who kicked an 88-year-old woman in the leg and stole her purse, keys and car, according to a release from the Orland Park Police Department.
The police said that at about 2:20 p.m. on Monday, the suspect, a 5-foot-8, 150-pound white male with shoulder-length, dark wavy hair and a few days growth of facial hair, kicked the woman, grabbed her purse and keys and struck her in the chest opening her car door in the parking lot of Walgreens in the 7900 block of 159th Street. The release added he drove her tan, 4-door Buick Lucerne with the license plate number of G40 9830 northbound on 80th Avenue.
The woman was treated a Palos Community Hospital for an injury to her leg, police said.
The OPPD is asking for anyone who has seen the vehicle to call 911 and anyone with other information on the case to call the Investigations Division at 708-349-4111.

Again??? What is it with these P.O.S s that batter old women? This happened at the "dollar" store on Harlem just south of 159th not that long ago - and the infamous "drifter" who raped an old woman by Home Depot.

I hope she'll be okay physically and emotionally. Anyone who attacks seniors in particular when caught need to have extra time added onto their sentences. I won't comment on what else should happen to them. Nothing like preying on our elders disgusting.

A Buick Lucerne should have Onstar. I wonder if GM can track it down even if it's subscription lapsed (and if not, if you activate the subscription, can they track it then)

The time was missing from the original article, but not the skin color. The original posting described the person as white.

Another point about this. We frequently post an initial story and update later as we learn more. When we first received notice about this, the original message didn't include the time of incident. At the time, I felt there was enough to put out there and that's why we did so.
