It had nice pictures. This was not what I would classify as an "Annual Report". To me an Annual Report is a financial document that relates to the overall financial status of an organization. It would present data that relates to dollar revenues, expenditures, debt, capital improvements. It is not a pictorial review of not only all of the good things that are happening in an organization. The two charts were fine, but we need to see comparisons over several years regarding the financial condition of the Village. The citizens of Orland Park are the stock holders and as such pay the bills. They do not need an advertisment or piece of campaign literature that is paid by them to re-elect their elected officials. For the amount of money they paid the Village could have produced a document that showed a true picture of not only the physical appearance of the Village but also the financial condition of the Village. By ommiting financial dollars one has to surmise they have something to hide.

"A" in Spiffiness. "D-" in Usefullness. Nice advertising piece....should convert nicely into 2013 re-election brochure for the trustees.

This is NOT an annual report. This is a brag piece, should be used for prospective businesses and home buyers. I wonder how much this cost the tax payers, being as cynical as I am about politicians' motives. And it surely isn't hard to show improvement in some areas over 2010. How did you do compared to 2007? 2008?

Agree 100% with the comments from Dave, Andrea and George above. This is nowhere close to being an annual report as most people in business know them. Count on loyalists to the mayor and trustees now to jump in and say it was a semantics issue and wasn't really meant to be an "Annual Report" - just like the mayor's "state of the village" appearance at Silver Lake CC.
Unfortunately, this is no different than the propaganda the village puts out on Comcast Channel 4, in the Orland Park Prairie newspaper, and in the quarterly newsletter that gets mailed to our homes. Illegal? - no. Unethical? - draw your own conclusions.

I liked the report. The numbers people always want more numbers. I liked seeing the new businesses and I love all the cultural stuff. I never knew how many acres of green space Orland has. I also liked knowing that our town is doing good when we sadly see that other towns aren't as lucky. I'm proud of Orland Park and I'm proud to live here.

On a positive note (could not find many), we are getting a new grocery store. Berkot's is opening. I will give them a try since Randy's is no longer an option. It's family owned and not a "big box" store. Does anyone know when that store will open?
