Orland Park Teen Struck by Car in Olympia Fields

A 21-year-old Park Forest man is accused of giving the 17-year-old girl alcohol before the Friday morning crash, according to a report.

 

A 17-year-old Orland Park girl struck by a car Friday morning in Olympia Field is suffering from life-threatening injuries, Sun-Times Media reports.

Lemanuel J. Pitts, 21, of the 100 block of Illinois Street in Park Forest is charged with one count of providing liquor to a minor and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the report. He is accused of giving the teen alcohol before the crash.

The girl was hit at about 5 a.m. in the 3600 block of Route 30, according to the report. She was flown to Stroger Hospital in Chicago.

I know the girl and am close friends with a few people that are associated with her, she's definitely not a saint by any means and the parents aren't to much better obviously. Its hard to look past the sadness all of us share but we all know it could have been avoided. Even by returning a phone call the night before it happened

I know the 21 year old and there's defiantly more to the story but even though this girl may have not been doing the right thing she didn't deserve this and her family doesn't deserve to go through this.
