Patch’s Guide to the 2012 Orland Days

Food, music, a parade, carnival rides and more. We put together what you need to know for the fest running through Sunday night.

June in Orland Park means a little more than an official start to summer.

It is time again for Orland Days, the four-day festival that brings people together for food, rides and fun, all assembled and put on by the Orland Park Lions Club.

The festival will be held again at the 153rd Street Metra Station north lot Wednesday through Sunday.

The fest will only be open to those invited daytime Thursday for the Norm Meyer Day, but will open publically at 5 p.m.

Here is what will be available during the fest:

Hi Linda, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. A lot of these bands have actual song samples on their websites, which is why I thought to include the links and let you folks decide. But that said I do see what you mean. Please let me know if clicking on their names helps answer any questions you have. Thanks.

Tricia, I know there is a $20 ride special until 10 p.m. tonight, and then on Saturday for the same price between noon and 5 p.m., and a $22 special on Sunday. I'll ask about it. Thanks.

Patrick, I have only seen one time window for the Sunday wristbands, so I believe they are for all day.

Just came back from the fest, what a blast!!! Just in case any other riders want to know: there is no special parking for us bikers.

The layout for the main stage/tent is horrible, who ever planned it should not be in charge next year.
