WEDNESDAY, DEC. 8

Zero Tolerance Tolerance

Two Orland Park women were charged with underage consumption of alcohol around 12:30 a.m. after police stopped their car near 151st Street and Orlan Brook Drive. The driver, Heather A. Brigando, 19, of the 14400 block of 85th Avenue, was also charged with obstructed windshield, tinted windows, illegal possession of alcohol, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they gave her a "zero tolerance warning." Jamie A. Michalowski, 18, of the 14300 block 85th Avenue, was issued a citation for underage consumption and released.

Still More Tolerance

About two hours later, three women and a man, all Orland Park residents, were charged with underage consumption after police stopped their car for making an improper turn.

The driver, Katlynn M. Schleicher, 19, of the 10600 block of Dani Lane, was also charged with improper turn and issued a "zero tolerance warning" at the station. Adam Salameh, 18, of the 11300 block of Pinecrest Circle, was arrested and also brought to lockup.

Other passengers, Brooke C. Fry, 18, of the 8900 block of Patty Lane, and Crystalyn C. Casica, 18, of the 13500 block of Lincolnshire Drive, were issued citations and released to guardians.

An empty case of Miller Lite was found in the trunk, according to the report.

Porsha Drove a Jeep

Porsha S. Williams-Johnson, 26, of the 13000 block of Honore Street in Blue Island, was charged with retail theft, resisting a peace officer, no insurance, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving on a suspended license. Security at a toy store on Orland Square Drive told police that Williams-Johnson, an employee, took two Leap-Frog Leapster Explorers without paying and fled in her Jeep when confronted, according to the police report.

She was pulled over around 3:30 p.m. near 151st Street and Regent Drive, but for a short time refused to roll down her window or open her door when police told her she was under arrest. She also had an outstanding warrant for unnamed traffic offenses, according to the report.
