Record Heat Didn't Slow Orland Park's 4th of July Fun (Gallery)
Despite the hottest 4th of July on record for the south suburbs, it didn't stop the dancing in Centennial Park.
With temperatures reaching 101 degrees, kids still rocked with Radio Disney Road Crew to open Orland Park's 4th of July activities at Centennial Park, with singing, hula hooping and "doing the dip."
Libido Funk Circus Singing then took the spotlight for the parents to dance to songs famous by Journey, Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga.
Mayor Dan McLaughlin introduced Orland Park trustees and the members of the Orland-Palos-Reber-Tesmond Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2604 carried the colors. Even after the fireworks, Orland Park residents and guests were still dancing, enjoying a fun-filled holiday at the park.
