Sam Maguire’s Traditional Irish Pub and Restaurant Closes
A foreclosure lawsuit was filed against the Orland Park establishment in September, though the bank said the closing isn’t related.
Sam Maguire’s, an Orland Park staple known for an assortment of live entertainment, closed its doors Sunday night.
The restaurant’s front door was locked Monday afternoon with only a sign reading “kitchen closed” posted. No one answered their phone Monday, and people gathered at the building Monday afternoon declined to comment.
No updates have been posted on the restaurant’s website and the phone message did not indicate a closure.
State Bank of Countryside filed a foreclosure lawsuit on the property at 39 Orland Square Drive in September, asking for about $2.2 million. The property has been for sale for at least a few months, with an asking price of $2.7 million.
Bob Bong reported on Southland Savvy that a Countryside loan officer said the foreclosure is not connected to the closing.
