Sarah Kustok's Fans Mourn With Her on Facebook
The Orland Park native and Comcast TV sports reporter has seen her Facebook fan club page fill with sympathy from friends and fans.
A few days ago, Sarah Kustok's fans were posting pictures on the Facebook page of the "Sarah Kustok Fan Club," basking in the moment of having met the friendly Comcast SportsNet reporter.
Today, an outpouring of sympathy and condolences for her rolls across Facebook.
Her father, Allan Kustok, is accused of murdering her mother in their Orland Park home on Wednesday, the same home where Sarah grew up and the neighborhood celebrated her standout athletic performances at Sandburg High School. Dubbed one of the "Southland's Greatest Athletes" this year by the local newspaper, the Sandburg High School graduate was a star in basketball and volleyball. She was on the Eagles 1997 state championship volleyball team and played in the title game for the basketball team in 1998. She went on to play at DePaul University.
She joined Comcast in 2009 after a stint on the sidelines for ESPN.
Her fans, both those who know her personally from her days in Orland Park or her days or those who know her through the TV, are reaching out through Facebook.
