FRIDAY, MARCH 8

Theft Charge by Possession Of Stolen Items

Louis D. Salinas, 25, of the 5300 block of West 22nd Street in Cicero, was charged with theft, according to a report. He is accused of possessing stolen items from Express, H & M and Sephora. He was due in Bridgeview court on March 25. Salinas also received an ordinance violation for retail theft.

Retail Theft

Nicholas J. Weber, 53, of the 6500 block of Linden Drive in Oak Forest, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. Weber is accused of trying on a pair of shoes at about 11 a.m. at Sears, 2 Orland Square Dr., and walking out of the store without paying for them. He is due in Bridgeview court on April 12.

Warrant Arrest

Christopher D. Ferrin, 40, of the 11700 block of Springfield Avenue in Alsip, was arrested on an Orland Park warrant for possession of marijuana, according to a report. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a valid license. Police stopped Ferrin at about 10:53 a.m. near the 7600 block of 159th Street after a front-seat passenger was stopped not wearing a seatbelt. During the stop, Ferrin handed a glass pipe that smelled like burnt marijuana. The officer told Ferrin about the outstanding warrant and arrested him.

Cook County Warrant

Arielle J. Gaines, 23, of the 7400 block of Wentworth Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, failing to signal when required and driving with an obstructed windshield and had an outstanding Cook County warrant for driving with a suspended license, according to a report. Police stopped Gaines at about 8:13 p.m. near 9200 151st St. The warrant was discovered during the traffic stop. She is due in Bridgeview court on April 16.
