"Energy" is the magic word this week. And we're featuring a couple of dogs that have it in spades.
First up, meet Mora: a 2-year-old female pit bull mix with a brown Brindle coat. She came to PAWS Animal Shelter in Tinley Park in February as a stray. She was adopted once before and is now looking for an owner who doesn't mind a high-energy dog.
Mora loves to be on the move and will happily run around a yard or play catch. The good folks at PAWS tell me she has no issues and would be best suited with someone who is just as energetic as she.
Our second featured pet this week is a Jack Russell terrier who, coincidentally, is named Jack. This five-year-old, 23-pound bundle might look a little on the heavy side but he is lively and fun. In fact, he needs a lot of activity to keep fit and loves to run.
Jack is the typical terrier, so get ready for a dog that's quick on his feet and will jump about. The volunteers at PAWS recommend owners who only have older children.
If you're interested, contact PAWS at 815-464-7298 or visit the shelter's website.
Patch is happy to report that Darla, a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat has been adopted. Some other past success stories include pit bull mix Shawna, mountain cur mix Jericho, and dynamic feline duo Scotty and Chloe. We hope all these cuties are very happy in their new homes!
