Pete’s Fresh Market may have abandoned plans to move into the former Dominick’s on LaGrange Road, in favor of building a new store at 143rd Street and LaGrange Road at the former Terry’s Lincoln site. But the grocery store chain based on Chicago’s southwest side has found a new tenant for the former supermarket at 15080 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park. Michigan-based Art Van Furniture has signed a 10-year lease to convert the former food store into a 46,000-square-foot store at the Orland Greens Shopping Center. The project has an estimated cost of $2 million. Dominick’s closed in November …
The Lincolns are already gone and Terry’s Lincoln will disappear from Orland Park on Feb. 1. The dealership at 9401 W. 143rd St. is holding a liquidation sale as it prepares to call it quits at the end of the month. Forget about a deal on a new Lincoln, the cars and parts moved over to Joe Rizza’s dealership at 8100 W. 159th St. earlier this month when he added the Lincoln franchise to his stable of car brands at his Orland Park location. Terry’s still has some used Lincolns as well as a well-stocked inventory of other used cars that it hopes to move out this week. “Anything that doesn’t sell…

Orland Park officials earlier this month approved a tax-sharing plan with Mercedes-Benz of Orland Park to help offset the cost of expanding the dealership into the neighboring former BMW dealership that moved into its new home at 159th Street and Wolf Road over the summer. The deal will give the village the first $264,532 in sales taxes generated by the dealership each year for the next five years. The village and dealership will split any additional sales taxes above that amount for five years or until the dealership has collected $453,690. The Mercedes dealership wants the additional space …

Office Depot will be closing its store at Orland Park Place on Dec. 12 and is expected to move sometime in 2013 into a much smaller space across the street in Ravinia Plaza. The move is part of the office supply retailer’s move away from larger stores into much smaller stores. “During the past few years, Office Depot has been focused on improving the in-store shopping experience for our customers by remodeling stores into a smaller format, which makes them more intimate and easier to navigate,” Office Depot communications manager Julianne Carelli said in an email. “The current store is nearly…

Second, three…
