The Palos Area Chamber Expo and Health Fair will be the pick up spot for runners who are participating in the Southwest Half Marathon on May 6.
The event is open to the public and will feature health screenings, chiropractors, home health care and mental health care professionals.
There will be face painting and a strolling magician for children. Free blood pressure screenings will be available from Palos Community Hospital.
There will be a prescription drug drop-off box and the Palos Lions Club will be collecting used eyeglasses.
Palos Patch will also have a table at the fair, so stop be and say hello.

More About Moraine Valley Church
Tracing its roots back to 1945, Moraine Valley Church has been open in Palos Heights since 1970. Church members are active in a variety of ministries including: children's group, Bible study, music, men's and women's clubs, sports activities, mission trips and outreach projects. The church has an active membership that gather together in a variety of events. Moraine Valley Church has undergone a number of expansions over the years and now has large meeting and recreational spaces. The senior pastor is Pat Peglow.
