Firehouse Subs Donating $39,500 in Equipment to Orland and Dixmoor Firefighters

The Orland Park sandwich shop will be hosting a dedication for the grants Friday morning.

When William and Christine Vanderbilt opened up Firehouse Subs in Orland Park, they wanted to offer the community more than just the sandwiches.

The two former youth pastors chose to open a franchise with the company in part because of their built in philanthropy arm, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

With giving back to the community in mind, Firehouse Subs in Orland Park will be hosting the dedication of two grants Friday, one for the Dixmoor Fire Department and the other for the Orland Fire Protection District.
