Call the township office to make an appointment and bring proof of residency Tuesday night to get the eye exam before the state deadline of Oct. 15 comes.

Orland Township and The Eye Specialists Center are offering a free children’s eye screening Tuesday night for parents to get their children tested before the Oct. 15 deadline.

The screening for kindergarteners will be done using a Plusoptix machine that can print results in case the child needs to follow up with an eye care professional.

An appointment needs to be made in advance by calling 708-403-4222. Proof of residency is required as well.
