Eagles Fall to HF Vikings, 48-10
It was a complete reversal from last week's 40-1 win over Joliet Central, as the Eagles struggled to get their offensive on the field in the first half of the game.
The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings demonstrated how it has earned its undefeated record this season, scoring most of its touchdowns by halftime of the game. A 50-yard field goal by Jonathan Milazzo brought life back to the Eagles late in the 2nd quarter, bringing the score 33-3. Late in the first half, the Eagles focused on its running game, with Brian Langowski gaining tremendous yardage and scoring the only touchdown of the game for the Eagles. Running back LaVelle Johson also contributed to the Eagles yardage towards the endzone, but the score would end 48-10 in favor of the Vikings.
October brings strong opponents to the Eagles schedule, as the team travels to Lincolnway Central next Friday, October 11th, and has Bolingbrook visiting the Eagles for the last game of the season on October 25th.
