Eagles Hockey Post 23 Goals in Weekend Play!

It was a big weekend for the Eagles Hockey Club as its Varsity team not only posted 23 goals in four games but also had players earn a total of 31 assists.

Friday night the Eagles hit the road for a game against the York High School Dukes, defeating the team 9-2.  Senior Nate McCatty earned a "hat trick" (three goals in one game) for the game as well as three assists.  In addition, also earning three assists in that game was sophomore Eric Simkowski.

Saturday afternoon the Eagles faced off against Waubansie at home, defeating the Warriors 6-4.  Sunday ended the trifecta for the Eagles at home with a 8-3 win over York once again.

McCatty and senior Adam Howey topped the weekend scoring, both earning four goals over the weekend. In addition, McCatty and Howey were top playmakers, each earning four assists during the three games.

The Eagles have a complete weekend of games coming up, with a Friday night roadtrip to play Glenbard; Saturday afternoon game against Oak Park River Forest in Darien; and a Sunday night home game against Lyons Township. The Eagles currently have a 13-3-0 record in the MetroWest Division. For more information on the Eagles Hockey Club, or to see a schedule of upcoming games, visit www.eagleshockeyclub.org.
