Celebrating Life’s Riches Through Laughter

IL Organization of Mothers of Twins Club Features Comedian at Event Oct. 19

Joliet, IL - If there’s anything moms use more of today, it is laughter! Between laundry, the kids, the house, the job….moms are one group of people that could use a lol!

South suburban native and author of Laugh Anyway Mom, Tracy DeGraaf, brings humor to the everyday trials and tribulations of life as a woman and mother of FIVE BOYS! The newcomer is quickly making a name for herself. Lake Michigan Shore Magazine called her incredibly funny and named her one of "six Midwestern comedians who crack us up." Legendary comedian, actress, and fellow mother of five children, Phyllis Diller, said this about DeGraaf's book, "A funny book that will make you laugh, cry, and take life as it should be - with a grain of salt!"

The Illinois Organization of Mothers of Twins Club (IOMOTC) of Joliet will feature DeGraaf as their keynote speaker at their annual luncheon on Saturday, October, 19, 2013 at 2pm.  The theme for the event is “Celebrating Life’s Riches.”

“I heard Tracy on Shine.fm, and I thought ‘Wow. That is exactly what we need for our annual luncheon,” said club member and mother of twin eleven-year-olds Kelly Thomas. DeGraaf is the host of the daily radio feature “The Laugh Anyway Mom Minute” currently broadcast on Shine.fm 89.7 fm, Chicago, 88.5 NW Indiana, and 88.3 Indianapolis. It’s a 60-second spot of encouragement to moms covering topics moms care about like how to get your kids to do their own laundry and how to create a fire safety plan.
