Document destruction event coming up in Park Forest

     PARK FOREST  -- Ready to rid your home of old documents, but uncomfortable throwing them in the trash?

     The Will County Land Use Department Resource Recovery and Energy Division, along with the Village of Park Forest and Park Forest Farmers Market, will host a document destruction event on Saturday, Sept. 7.

     The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cunningham Drive and Main Street, across from the old Park Forest Plaza.

     Bring bank account statements, tax forms, old bills, old checks and any other personal document to be shredded, up to two file boxes per vehicle.

     All documents will be shredded on-site by Shark Shredding Inc. One hundred percent of the shredded paper will be recycled.

     Arrive early as the line will close at exactly 11 a.m. Those in line will be allowed to have their documents shredded. Anyone who arrives after 11 a.m. will be turned away.

     Do not bring wet documents, food waste, newspaper, homework assignments, hazardous wastes or metal.
