Meijer and American Heart Association Encourage Area Kids to Live Healthy – Poster Design Contest

Meijer and the American Heart Association are teaming up to sponsor a “Start! Living Healthy” Poster Contest for children ages 12 and under that encourages local kids to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle. 

Children are asked to draw pictures of themselves and their families making healthy choices, like exercising and eating fruits and vegetables. The grand prize winner will receive a gift basket valued at $100, and two runners-up will receive gift baskets valued at $50.

Entry forms will be available at Chicagoland Meijer stores starting on February 1. Entry forms are also be available online at www.heart.org/chicago.  

Completed posters should be mailed to the Start! Living Healthy Contest, c/o American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604. Entries must be postmarked by February 14, and winners will be notified by February 25.
