A professional dancer and dance teacher has twirled her way into the hearts of Chicago's single scene, earning a slot in the city's most eligible singles.

Kate Jablonski, 27, danced professionally in New York City before returning to Illinois, where she opened her own studio Foundations Performance Center.

The Carl Sandburg High School alum went on to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned a degree in business entrepreneurship. She is currently the owner and artistic director of Beyond Words Dance Company.

She has also taught and choreographed internationally for dance companies in countries including Switzerland, Italy, and Holland. Jablonski now teaches contemporary, jazz technique, and musical theatre out of the Lyons facility. Foundations Performance Center is the home of Beyond Words Dance Company, Expression Dance Studio and Miss Mickey's Dancers. In addition to dance lessons, the center also welcomes the community and supports all performing and visual arts, according to the website.

What's she looking for in a guy?

"A man who is older and taller than she is (5-foot-9). He doesn’t have to share her passion for the arts, but he better be passion- ate about something," she told Chicago Magazine.
