Snow Might Not be Over Yet: Overnight Storm Warning Issued
Orland Park is expected to face wind chills around 25 degrees below zero early Tuesday morning, and lake effect snow is still possible.

Monday night is going to be a game of snow roulette, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A “heavy band” of lake effect snow is forecast to hit Southeastern Cook County beginning 11 p.m. Monday night and and last until 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

But there’s a catch.
The NWS says the snowfall region will be less than 10 miles wide, so conditions can vary dramatically in a short distance. The heaviest hit areas could get 6 to 12 inches of snowfall. Temperatures are also expected to plummet and “dangerously cold wind chills” may exist.

A wind chill advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, with chills expected as low as 25 degrees below zero.
Residents are advised to stock up on food and supplies Monday evening.
