Orland Park Theatre Troupe Auditions for "The King & I"

The Village of Orland Park Theatre Troupe invites area actors age seven and older to audition for its spring musical, “The King and I,” by Oscar Hammerstein II with music by Richard Rodgers.

Auditions will be held at Orland Park’s Old Village Hall, 14413 South Beacon Avenue, on Sunday, January 22. Children are invited to audition from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with adults coming from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Adults are also invited to audition on Monday, January 23 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Call backs will be held Tuesday, January 24 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Those auditioning must sing measures from a prepared piece of music from the show, be prepared to learn and perform a dance and read from the script. Comfortable clothing should be worn to the auditions. Once cast, members must pay the $35.00 registration fee.

Rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons and Monday and Thursday evenings at the Old Village Hall. Performances will be April 27, 28 and 29 at the Carl Sandburg High School Performing Arts Center.
