Village of Orland Park Takes Step toward Environmental Education

The Village of Orland Park along with sponsor BMO Harris Bank will launch TOSS, an environmental outreach program geared toward children, in April.

TOSS, which stands for “Take One Small Step”, aims to inform children ages 9-12 years old about their carbon footprint and recycling. The program consists of a short PowerPoint presentation, followed by a fun craft project.

This program is made possible with the generous donation and sponsorship of BMO Harris Bank. Their Helpful Steps for Parents program teaches children the value of money. In conjunction with TOSS, the programs will allow kids to use the money they save from recycling to contribute to their savings account.
