Witness Spotted Man Pushing Stolen Computer on Office Chair: Police

Paul N. Baisa, 22, of Orland Park is charged with felony burglary, police said.

An Orland Park man was spotted pushing a pile of stolen computer equipment on an office chair following a commercial burglary on Sunday, according to police.

Paul N. Baisa, 22, of the 14600 block of Birch Avenue, was charged with one count of felony burglary, Orland Park police said. He is accused of taking more than $2,200 worth of computers and office equipment from a business in the 14500 block of South 94th Avenue.

Baisa appeared before a Cook County judge on Monday. Bail was set at $100,000.

Orland Park police investigated a commercial burglary at about 2:50 p.m. on Sunday. Someone had broken into the office building and taken the equipment, police said. A witness later told police a man pushed an office chair loaded with a computer down the street near the burglary.

Baisa was identified as a person of interest and arrested on Sunday in the 9200 block of 147th Street, several blocks from the burglary, police said. He was living at that address with his brother.

Officers recovered most of the items from the burglary after the arrest. The Cook County State's Attorney approved a felony charge a short time later.
The next court date for Baisa is set on July 29 in Bridgeview.
