Woman, 3 Children Injured in Rollover Accident in Orland Park

The four were inside an SUV and were able to get out of the vehicle, though Orland and Palos firefighters came prepared to extricate them.

A woman and three children were injured Thursday when an SUV rolled over in Orland Park near the northern border with Palos Park.

The Orland Fire Protection District was called about a vehicle crash with injuries in the 8900 block of 135th Street around 3:15 p.m., according to a release from the district. An SUV had rolled over and dispatch reported that people in the vehicle might be trapped, according to the release.

No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash.

Responders from Orland and the Palos Fire Protection District went to the scene ready for extrication, though when they arrived they found the four people were out of the vehicle and were being attended to by bystanders, according to the Orland district.

The woman and three children were transported by Orland and Palos ambulances to Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to the release.

No update on their condition was available as of 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Orland Park Police Department is investigating how the crash happened.
