Italio Fast-Casual Restaurant Opening Tuesday with Free Food Day

The Florida-based restaurant is opening its first Illinois location in Orland Park on Tuesday.

Italio, a fast-casual Italian restaurant based in Florida, is opening a location in Orland Park next week—and offering free food to customers to celebrate.

The restaurant will open at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 15139 S. La Grange Rd. in Orland Park, and guests will receive a complimentary entree—a piadina Italian-style wrap, a pasta bowl or a salad bowl.

At Italio, customers can customize those three dishes using a variety of proteins (seven), vegetables (20) and house made pestos and sauces. Small portioned sides such as calamari will also be available to purchase, and Italio also offers beer, wine and other beverages.

The restaurant has communal tables, two-tops and patio space. It's based in Florida, with three locations there and a fourth on the way in 2014. The Orland Park location is the first in Illinois.

Italio will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily in Orland Park. To learn more, go to www.ItalioKitchen.com. You can also check out the Facebook event for the Free Food Day to share it with friends.
