Joe Rizza Ford Hosting USO BBQ, Fundraiser to Benefit Troops
Stop in to Joe Rizza Ford Saturday for some barbecue and fundraising for the troops.
Joe Rizza Ford in Orland Park is joining more than 60 dealerships across Illinois to host a USO BBQ on their lot Saturday, July 19 benefitting our troops (deployed and at home) and their families.
Staff will fire up the grill from noon to 3 p.m. at the dealership, 8100 W. 159th St., and will feature popcorn, sno-cones, and live entertainment by local band Dirt Road Rebels. Raffle prizes include an Apple iPad, Weber grill, and bean bag toss, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the USO.
Last year, this fundraiser (in conjunction with the Chicago Automobile Trade Association) raised $37,500—and 40 percent of total national funds raised through the program!
"We're relying on the good hearts of Orland Park and South Suburban residents to help us help others. It's an important event for an important cause" said Linda Tew, director of marketing for the dealership.
