School is almost back in session and to kick-off the season, Orland Square Mall, Chicagoland’s leading fashion destination, will host a special “Back-At-It” event on Sat., Aug. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. on the upper level near Carson’s. All companies and organizations are invited to participate in the event, which will connect families with area businesses and engage shoppers in an afternoon of back-to-school shopping, fashion presentations, style guides, mall-wide discount offers and more.
“Back At It” will showcase various family-friendly services and organizations that will help kick-off the new school year. Examples of vendors include extra-curricular and after-school programs, healthcare providers like pediatricians, chiropractors, dentists and orthodontists, nanny services and more.
“The beginning of a new school year is both an exciting and busy time for families,” said Gayle Gleespen, director of mall marketing and business development at Orland Square Mall, “and as always, we want to be at the center of the celebration. We invite Orland Park companies and organizations to get involved in this year’s event and reach our shoppers on one of the center’s busiest weekends.”

Orland Square Mall’s “Back At It” event is one of more than 55 events happening at various Simon malls across the country. The events, which are geared toward ‘tweens and teens’, include various elements to give students the social shopping experience they seek while families prepare to get back to class.
