Silver Cross Wins State Healthcare Marketing Awards

The Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ISHMPR) honored marketing, public relations and communications professionals from across the state at its 2013 Annual Conference and Pinnacle Awards Presentation Oct. 23 to 25 at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI.  The conference was held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Healthcare Society for Marketing and Public Relations. Silver Cross Hospital received 11 Pinnacle Awards.

Each year ISHMPR sponsors the Pinnacle Awards to recognize excellence and achievement in healthcare marketing and public relations. This year’s program included 104 entries in 24 project categories submitted by nearly 28 hospitals and healthcare systems from across the state. Entries were judged on their own merit in accordance with established criteria for project planning, implementation and overall results.

The Silver Cross Marketing Team and Community Relations which is led by Ruth Colby, Senior Vice President of Business Development/Chief Strategy Officer, includes Tracy Simons, Director of Marketing and Community Relations (New Lenox resident); Karen Helman, Manager of Marketing and Community Relations (Orland Park resident); Carol Banas-Hicks, Community Programs and Senior Advantage Coordinator (Elwood resident); Suzanne Bies (Homer Glen resident); Ben Hernandez, E-Marketing Coordinator (Orland Park resident); and Leslie Newbon (Crest Hill resident), Community Outreach Coordinator. The team received a total of 11 awards.
