CJB First Grade and the Living Nativity

CJB First Graders in the Living Nativity!

On December 10th the First Graders of Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School   participated in a "Living Nativity" at the Center in Palos Park.  The students assumed the roles of Mary, Joseph, The Three Wisemen, Angels and Shepherds.  They even got to lead the animals of the Nativity to places at the stable by carrying and guiding them to special spots! Parents and grandparents were also able to join the class at the Center to help in celebrating Jesus’ birth!

The students returned to school filled with the true meaning of Christmas! First Grader Kaden K. of Mokena commented, “My favorite part was that I got to dress up as a Wiseman!”  His classmate, Elise D. of Tinley Park said, “It was exciting because everyone got a special part at the Children’s Farm.”

Christmas is a miraculous time of year and the First Grade students at Cardinal Joseph Bernardin have been preparing for the coming of Jesus in many special ways.  This Field Trip was a culmination of their learning experience.
