MONDAY

Junior defender Paige Bendell helped the Eagles' girls soccer team produce a successful season.

The TCF Bank branch in Palos Heights was robbed Sunday, according to the FBI, in a style reminiscent of the movie "The Town." Graphic pictures of the heist were caught by surveillance.

TUESDAY

The owners of a 25-year Orland Park business take stock as Orland Plaza development plans inch forward. They say they were told to hold off on making repairs on their store.

WEDNESDAY

While the district said she was asked to resign, Barbara Utterback says she was surprised at the news that her position was gone.  She also said she was not given a reason, though the district board says they are trying to cut costs.

Orland shop lets residents explore their creative side, and indulges their own whimsy for beauty, though they too will be moving out of the Orland Plaza soon.

THURSDAY

Orland native Orchid Paulmeier is one of several hopefuls competing on The Next Food Network Star. She dishes on BBQ, becoming a chef without going to school and how she would like to visit Taste of Orland.
