TUESDAY
Peter Sousan, 24, of Orland Park remained in custody during a hearing Monday, Aug. 27 in a Bridgeview courtroom.

Kendall McGinnis connected on a Hail Mary pass to lift Bloom past Thornwood 20-14 in the Trojans' football opener. Then, he outpolled 10 others in fan balloting for Patch MVP, Aug. 20-26. McGinnis now is eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.
WEDNESDAY
The gas station is among 20 area stations on the company’s released list of having sold potentially engine-harming gas, though according to a store manager the station has been free of the bad gas for nearly two weeks.
The Orland Fire Protection District is about to start training the 11 new firefighters that were recently offered positions, though they will spend a full year as probationary hires.
THURSDAY
A Tinley Park man is accused of driving the car out of the funeral home lot, and he also may be responsible for other area burglaries.
An Orland Park man and a South Holland man were each accused with separate burglary incidents within the last four days, both unrelated to a funeral home burglary on Sunday.
FRIDAY
The first Sandburg Football home game against the Stagg Chargers gave the Eagles another win this week.
District 230 bragging rights might be at stake for tonight’s football game, but the players, coaches, band musicians and attendees will also be supporting our local service men and women.
SATURDAY
