One trustee made a last-ditch effort to stop the latest staffing analysis, citing one already completed in 2006, even though the board president says the recent one is nearly completed.

WEDNESDAY

The Orland Fire Protection District Board of Trustees voted in a new policy that says people wanting to get responses to comments during board meetings must submit them no later than 48 hours before the meeting begins.

Orland School District 135 told the county to access financial information via the district’s website, but the county said that wasn’t enough. Some say Cook County ought to worry about their own finances, while others believe the district should comply.
