TUESDAY

A Midlothian man recently made the move from brewing his own beer to distilling—and selling—his own brand of vodka. Mid-Oak Distillery is now crafting homemade vodka right down the street.

WEDNESDAY

New family-run restaurant in Orland Park with an “upscale casual” setting is the third to open in the Chicago area.

Hospital and village officials lauded the new cancer center, which will be able to provide treatment for the increasing number of patients in Will County.

THURSDAY

Orland Park officers found marijuana in a car driven by a woman who was accused of selling earlier in the year, and text messages with requests from buyers.

David Lee, who draws from his own struggles with addiction to help others still in the throes, will aim to answer the question ‘what can I say to convince them to quit?’ 7 p.m. tonight at the Orland Township offices

FRIDAY

Five men accused of being among a group of about 18 who authorities say attacked diners at the Ashford House in May were arraigned Thursday, when they appeared before three different judges. In July, attorneys will ask a judge to reduce their bail.
