MONDAY

Florida-based Property Tax Management, LLC were the ones to actually file a property tax assessment appeal for the Orland Square Mall, in an effort for mall owners Simon Properties to gain $9.5 million in rebate money from area taxing bodies. Only, it is not clear if PTM can make such a filing in Illinois.

FRIDAY

Changes continue among the Orland Fire Protection District’s boards and staff roster. This week, administrative staff got the axe. Joanne Chavez, who worked as the district’s human resources director, and Kathy Donorfrio, the education outreach coordinator, both were let go as part of an employee initiative that was approved by the district board at Tuesday’s special meeting.

The New Lenox-based Spotlight Theater is performing the Pulitzer-nominated show about a wide swath of humanity calling into a late night radio show.
