TUESDAY

The single charge against the driver of a street sweeper that a witness said caused a three-vehicle crash in Orland Park, killing a mother, father and daughter from Tinley Park, is the traffic citation. The crash is still being investigated.

Katy Ruisz's 4-year-old son Connor is in remission from a rare form of brain cancer, but he still has ways to go. Family and friends will gather to raise funds April 22 at Gaelic Park for his continuing medical treatment.

SATURDAY

Orland School District 135 held its 22nd Celebration of Stars Thursday, paying tribute to staff who’ve put in between 10 and close to 40 years with the school district.
