Firehouse Subs Promotes Fire Extinguisher Benefits

Firehouse Subs in Orland Park is dedicated to fire safety in addition to providing the Orland Park area with delicious hot sub sandwiches. Firehouse Subs has released a YouTube video outlining an important fire safety tip that many people tend to overlook: the importance of a fire extinguisher.

The video features Captain Rob Sorensen and Captain Ronnie Morrell as they explain the importance of having a fire extinguisher handy in residential areas, as well as how to use one in an emergency. But don’t worry, if you forget one of the helpful tips on how to use the device, the instructions are always printed on the front of the extinguisher as a refresher!

Most people think of a fire extinguisher as a staple in stairwells or in the hallways of office buildings. But did you know that it’s important to have one in your home? The best place to keep a fire extinguisher is near the kitchen, the location of the majority of residential fires. If you have an extinguisher handy, you might be able to avoid having a small flame become a huge, life-altering fire.
