Kids Buddy Up at Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School to Experiment

The 4-year-old pre-kindergarten students at Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School in Orland Hills took a trip to the Science Lab where they worked side by side with the students in the junior high on an experiment. Wearing protective eye goggles and plastic aprons just their size to match the “big kids,” the students learned about density and polar molecules as they made cool color Lava Lamps using water, oil, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer tablets. The youngsters finished the day by drawing pictures of of what they had observed.
