The Eagles Hockey Club JV and Varsity teams had a very successful start to the season this past weekend. Friday night in Addison, the JV team upended York High School 5-2, and the Varsity, donning their new alternate third jerseys, defeated York 7-4. On Saturday the JV travelled to Oak Park Ridgeland Commons, and defeated Oak Park River Forest High School 9-2.
Varsity travelled to Naperville All Seasons Ice Rink to defeat Naperville North High School 3-2 in an overtime shootout victory. Although only the first weekend of play, both squads look very fine tuned, with contributions being made by all players. Typically during the first few games of each season, finding working chemistry, and sync is the biggest coaching hurdles. As shown, looks like the teams are well on their way in solidifying balance.
Both teams travel to the suburbs of Detroit Michigan to play in non league play against teams from Michigan, Ohio, and Canada in the Motown Cup Classic Tournament. For more news, updates, and pictures look in the Eagles Hockey Club at www.eagleshockeyclub.org.
