Eagles move up in the state hockey rankings for this week

Local hockey team catching some state attention

The varsity team of the Eagles Hockey Club, from Sandburg High School, have put the pressure on local hockey powerhouses, to catch them if they can, in the Illinois hockey rankings. Beginning the season at the #14 spot in the rankings, they have soared the #2 spot of the state rankings. This is a great attribute to all of the players, and coaches who have worked very hard to earn this spot. The team does remain unbeaten with a 12-0-1 record, with a few big wins against very notable teams around the state. Although it is early, and quite some time before The Blackhawk Cup State High School Hockey Tournament in March, the team is beginning to open eyes around the state, as a contender for state honors. Don't hesitate to see this team play, as they continue through the season. Go to www.eagleshockeyclub.org for complete schedules, and club information.
