Orland Square Mall, one of Chicagoland’s leading fashion destinations with more than 150 popular retail options, invites area high school students to the center’s first-ever Prom Fashion Showcase on Saturday, April 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The free event features a fashion show highlighting this year’s hottest prom trends, style presentations, hair and make-up demonstrations, exclusive giveaways and more.
“Prom is one of the most defining moments for high school students and we’re excited to work with our celebrated retailers to showcase the hottest trends for 2014,” said Gayle Gleespen, director of marketing and business development at Orland Square Mall. “Gone are the days of cookie cutter dresses and coattail tuxedos, as students are ditching the norms and clichés for Red Carpet-inspired fashions. This one-of-a-kind event is sure to highlight all the great style options for students as they put together to perfect look for prom.”
Event goers will be treated to an afternoon of interactive activities including a prom-themed fashion show, which begins at 2 p.m., featuring looks for ladies and gentlemen from Carson’s, Macy’s and more. In addition, Aveda, one of the center’s newest retailers, will provide hair and make-up demonstrations along with MAC Cosmetics and Sephora. Attendees will also receive a special swag bag filled with goodies and special offers from select retailers.
